Hasnat Abdullah, the leader of the Anti-Discrimination Student Movement, was severely injured in an Ansar attack in front of the Secretariat and is currently undergoing treatment at the Combined Military Hospital (CMH). From his hospital bed, he has appealed for support for the families of those injured and martyred in the movement.

On Wednesday night, Hasnat made an appeal for help through a post on his verified Facebook page. He wrote, "Even though we engaged in crowdfunding during the flood situation, we have not directly established a fund for those injured or martyred in the revolution for valid reasons."

He further added, "We have previously mentioned that no one should collect money claiming to be a coordinator, and you should not give money to anyone who identifies only as a coordinator."

He also stated, "Those who wish to provide financial assistance to the injured and the families of martyrs at this time should try to deliver their aid directly to the patients. Believe me, they need a lot of help."

He mentioned that various NGOs are working on this and can be used as a medium for assistance. "If you insist on seeking help through someone identified as a coordinator of the Anti-Discrimination Student Movement, then contact the central sub-committee on health, led by younger brother Tarek, through their hotline number. They will connect you directly with the patients, allowing you to deliver your money directly to them."

Last Sunday, during a clash between students and Ansar members near the Secretariat in the capital, at least 40 students of Dhaka University, including Hasnat Abdullah, the coordinator of the Anti-Discrimination Student Movement, were injured. Hasnat has been under treatment since then.
