NDM Chairperson Bobby Hajjaj Warns of Dire Consequences for AL Amidst Ongoing Unrest in Bangladesh
Bobby Hajjaj, chairman of the Nationalist Democratic Movement (NDM), declared that if attempts are made to create chaos within the country, no Awami League leader or activist will remain unscathed. He criticized Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, referring to her as a "killer," and accused her of hypocrisy, citing incidents where she fled in the past despite her claims of being a steadfast daughter of Sheikh Mujib. Hajjaj referenced her participation in the 1986 elections under Ershad’s regime and her departure from the country during the 2007 caretaker government.

Speaking at an anti-terrorism rally in front of the National Press Club on Thursday, August 15, Hajjaj accused Hasina of using India's support and the minority card to incite violence and unrest, threatening severe consequences for any such attempts. Other leaders of NDM, including Secretary General Mominul Amin and Vice Chairman Md. Faruk-uz-Zaman Chowdhury, also addressed the rally.

Hajjaj condemned the Awami League's governance over the past 15 years, accusing them of corruption, vote-rigging, and atrocities. He argued that the Sheikh family had exploited the Liberation War for personal gain, leading the country towards economic collapse, and called for the highest punishment for their crimes against humanity.

He urged citizens to resist Awami League terrorists and looters, calling for them to be handed over to law enforcement. Furthermore, Hajjaj criticized the commemoration of National Mourning Day, stating that after the killings of students and civilians in recent months, mourning past events was no longer relevant.

Addressing the interim government, Hajjaj emphasized the need to uphold the spirit of mass uprising, rebuild the nation, and ensure justice for genocide perpetrators as well as their political allies. NDM's anti-terrorism rally saw the participation of many leaders and activists from the party's youth and student wings.
