Saidul Islam, born on June 20, 2002, in the village of Bisharabari under Kasba Municipality in Brahmanbaria, has become a dedicated and influential young journalist who is widely recognized for his fearless and ethical reporting. He serves as the correspondent for NTV Online covering the upazilas of Kasba and Akhaura, where his stories consistently bring local issues to national attention. From his early life, Saidul showed a deep interest in social issues, development, and storytelling, which shaped his career in journalism at a very young age. He began his education at Arai Bari Islamia Saidiya Kamil Madrasah and later completed his Higher Secondary education at Gopinathpur Alhaj Shah Alam Degree College. Currently, he is pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science at Brahmanbaria Government College while actively working as a journalist.

Through his reporting, Saidul has highlighted a wide range of issues that affect the daily lives of people in Brahmanbaria. He has covered poor infrastructure such as roads filled with potholes, severe flooding in Kasba and its devastating impact on families, municipal responses to natural disasters, long-standing demands for household gas connections, and unsafe transport conditions that put commuters at risk. He has also reported on education-related matters including allegations of cheating in exams, reactions of students after major tests, and teachers’ opinions on national budgets and its impact on education. His stories on agriculture, such as Boro rice harvesting using combine harvesters, poor lychee yields due to adverse weather, and innovative mulching techniques by local farmers, have shed light on both the struggles and successes of rural communities.

Saidul Islam’s work extends beyond infrastructure and agriculture; he has reported on pressing social issues such as voter registration challenges faced by women, the refusal of small currency coins in local markets, manipulation of cucumber and lemon prices through artificial crises, and the circulation of Indian SIM cards for social media usage in border areas. His coverage also includes cultural and religious events like mass iftars hosting thousands of people, historical insights such as the 210-year-old mosque in Shahpur, and large congregational prayers during Eid. Additionally, his reports on cattle markets in Kasba and Akhaura during Eid seasons have provided valuable coverage of local economic activity and community traditions.

For his courageous and impactful journalism, Saidul Islam has received recognition from several organizations including Together for Tomorrow (TFT), Torun Manob Seba, Blood for Kasba, and Titas Sahitya Parishad. These honors reflect his contribution not only to journalism but also to community awareness, social justice, and the promotion of ethical values. His reporting style, marked by honesty, responsibility, and determination, has established him as a trusted journalist whose work bridges the gap between grassroots concerns and national awareness.

Despite being at the early stage of his career, Saidul has already demonstrated the qualities of a seasoned journalist. His passion for truth, dedication to his community, and ability to shed light on overlooked issues have made him a respected figure in Brahmanbaria’s media landscape. Balancing his academic journey with professional responsibilities, he continues to inspire the young generation by proving that journalism can be both a tool for social change and a platform for community empowerment. With his fearless approach and unwavering commitment, Saidul Islam stands as a rising voice of Brahmanbaria, determined to make a lasting impact through truthful storytelling and ethical journalism.
