Staff Reporter, Dinajpur > CEMS-Global has successfully concluded the 24th Bangladesh Edition of its Textile Series of Exhibitions at the New Bangladesh-China Friendship Exhibition Centre, Purbachal, Dhaka. The three-day event once again proved to be a premier meeting point for international manufacturers, industry leaders and professionals from Bangladesh’s textile and garment sector, strengthening global collaboration while showcasing the latest innovations and technologies.
Held from 10–13 September 2025, this landmark edition marked 24 years of CEMS-Global’s commitment to empowering and advancing Bangladesh’s textile and apparel industry. Thousands of visitors attended the exhibition, generating new opportunities for partnerships, business growth and investment in the sector.
The Opening Ceremony was presided over by Ms. Meherun N. Islam, President and Group Managing Director of CEMS-Global and Asia-Pacific. Distinguished guests included senior representatives from the Government of Bangladesh, such as Mr. Md. Shahidul Islam, Director General of the Department of Textiles under the Ministry of Textile & Jute; Mr. Md. Saiful Islam, Chairman of the Bangladesh Small and Cottage Industries Corporation (BSCIC); Ms. Baby Rani Karmakar, Director General-1 (Joint Secretary) of the Export Promotion Bureau of Bangladesh; and Mr. Md. Muzib-Ul-Ferdous, Director General of Local Investment Promotion at the Bangladesh Investment Development Authority (BIDA).
The event was also attended by key leaders from the garment industry, including Mr. Md. Shamsuzzaman, CIP, Vice President of the Bangladesh Knitwear Manufacturers and Exporters Association (BKMEA) and Mr. Mijanur Rahman, Vice President of the Bangladesh Garment Manufacturers and Exporters Association (BGMEA).
With strong participation from exhibitors and visitors alike, the 24th Bangladesh Edition of the Textile Series of Exhibitions reinforced the country’s growing importance in the global textile arena and set the stage for continued innovation, investment and achievements in the years ahead.
