Congress Legislator Urges Modi to Take 'Military Action' in Bangladesh
A Congress legislator from India, Rizwan Arshad, has called on Prime Minister Narendra Modi to take decisive military action in Bangladesh, similar to the steps taken by Indira Gandhi in 1971. This appeal comes in response to concerns over political instability in Bangladesh and reports of brutal attacks on Hindu minorities.

Representing Shibajinagar in Karnataka, Arshad recently sent a letter to Modi expressing deep concern as an Indian citizen over the violent incidents affecting Hindus in Bangladesh. He emphasized the need for India to adopt an "active stance" to address these issues, given the historic and cultural ties between the two countries.

In his letter, Arshad urged Modi to engage with an interim government in Bangladesh to protect the rights and dignity of the Hindu community. He also requested the Indian government to verify the reports circulating on social media, which are allegedly promoting biased narratives.

Arshad highlighted that India has always stood for justice, peace, and human rights, and he encouraged Modi to take strong actions reminiscent of Indira Gandhi's measures in 1971. He believes that under Modi's leadership, India should act decisively not only to address concerns in Bangladesh but also to counter attacks on minorities within India.
