Lawsuit Filed Against Sheikh Hasina and 25 Others Over Alleged Enforced Disappearance
A lawsuit has been filed against Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, former Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal, former Law Minister Anisul Haque, former Inspector General of Police (IGP) Shahidul Haque, and Director General of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) Benazir Ahmed over allegations of enforced disappearance.

The application was submitted on Wednesday to the Chief Metropolitan Magistrate's Court in Dhaka.

The case stems from the alleged disappearance of the lawyer, who claims to have been abducted from Uttara, Dhaka, in 2015. The lawyer, who was missing for 185 days, has accused former Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, former Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan, former Law Minister Anisul Haque, former IGP Shahidul Haque, and former RAB Director General Benazir Ahmed, along with 25 unidentified members of RAB.

The lawyer claims they were abducted along with BNP leader Salahuddin Ahmed and were held in the same room with their eyes blindfolded.
